Valentina Sireech Visual Artist
Valentina R Sireech, a member of the Ute Indian Tribe (Uncompahgre Band), was raised in Myton, Utah, on the Uintah and Ouray Reservation. She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Institute of American Indian Art (IAIA) in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and then her Master of Fine Arts from Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), Savannah, GA. She was certified in Cultural Heritage Tourism by the George Washington University School of Business. Recently she was certified in Indigenous Harm Reduction Train the Trainer Workshop 2022. She completed a Certificate of Proficiency in Substance Use Disorder Counseling (SUDC) from Utah Valley University Behavioral Science Department in 2023. She has spent years supporting tribal organizations with marketing efforts and business guidance. Her passion is creating awareness and providing educational evidence-based Harm reduction Naloxone training to tribal communities and other related information regarding opioid misuse and stigma and creating programming to increase community engagement. She has been accepted in the Doctorate of Educational Leadership (Ed.D) at the University of Washington, Muckleshoot Cohort starting fall of 2023.
Valentina and her husband, Arnold Morris, are parents of one son Wolfgang Morris. As a wife, mother, artist, photographer, and community leader, Valentina strongly advocates building and strengthening healthier communities for a brighter future by using Art.
